Elected Sports Executive in 2015 by the Maquina do Esporte and nominated to be one of the 3 finalists of 2018, Cesar played college tennis and studied Business and Communication at Concordia University, California. He began his career at Lagardère Sports in Washington DC, where he worked in the tennis division for 4 years. Back in the Brazilian market, he launched IMM, a JV between Mubadala and IMG, where he launched the Talent Department and served as vice president. Cesar was responsible for the success and rise of Gabriel Medina who became World Surfing Champion in 2014 and included as TIME’s 100 most influential people in the world. He also managed a team of athletes including F1 driver Felipe Nasr and Thiago Silva (Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil’s National Team Captain in the 2014 World Cup). During his career Cesar also negotiated deals for athletes like Neymar Jr and 3-time Roland Garros tennis champion Gustavo Kuerten. Cesar participated actively in the creation of the largest tennis tournament in Latin America, the Rio Open (ATP 500) and also the commercial negotiation of different sporting events. After 9 years of experience in the largest sport management groups in the world, he joined Marc Lemann to start Go4it and also Go4it Capital.
